i thought this was pretty cool. these people were giving away the carnations and telling everyone that Jesus Loves them...showing kindness is cool.

i got a free rose from my church for mothers day.....so did all the moms. It was special.

I got a carnation today from my church, cause I'll be a mom someday, I hope. But I didn't want it, so I gave it to my mom, so she had two...plus, she likes carnations - I don't. :) I did take the left over gerber daisies from the mother's day luncheon I went to yesterday, so now I have beautiful flowers on my dining room table. Gerber daisies just make me smile. :) Ok, well anyway, I agree, showing kindness is cool! Thanks for sharing!

That really is sweet for those church people to reach out and touch people like that. I mean what if there was some mothers out there who cant spend time with their family? A tiny gesture like a carnation is really a nice way to make their day.

its official

I'm SICK! So thanks to my loving husband who had a cold before he left...I now have the same cold. It started with a sore throat then aches and chills. I am looking forward to the aches and chills being gone...oh and i am thankful for my stash of puffs ultra, because (yes this is me whining) my nose wont stop running. i woke up at 3am then 4am then 5am until 8 when i really had to get up because my faucet of a nose decided to run all night and i thought it was bleeding...not fun! i even took nasty nasty nyquil and it helped a little but only from midnight to 3am. that seems like too short of a time. i dont like to take medication mostly cause im no good at swallowing pills, but nyquil we have is in liquid form...so tonight i will take it again and hope for the best.
