so when we booked our flights to california there was a crazy storm and insane weather going on out here, so i guess i prepared myself for the worst. then we got here and lucky for us it has cleared up for now. then the day after we left new jersey they got 6 inches of snow amd even go to leave school early. so then i missed out a snow storm which as a california girl i have decided are actually very cool...so i was sad about missing the snow. now i am off to lunch. yippee!!

today i am a working in my old cubicle. it is very weird to be back but fun too. i got to have del taco for lunch. yippee!!

so as we get ready for our flight and our stay in sunny (i mean rainy) southern california i havent yet started packing but i have thought about it. but sadly what keeps coming into my mind is that i am going to be on the west coast from March 15 - April 1st and David is going to be on the east coast. now this isnt that long and i know that i will survive but i have to start preparing myself for this time. hopefully it will go by fast. the other thing that i am trying not to be sad about (mostly becuase i assured david i would be ok) is that my 25th birthday i will be with out him. now i know i am not supposed to worry so i am saying this right now to get it out of my head. i am sure that i can now move on and begin packing and preparing for our flight. i dont even have a book to read yet. i wish we owned a portable dvd player...we do have lap tops but the battery power never seems to last the full length of a movie. i will charge mine up tonight in hopes of watching a great movie on t

so we made it back safely to new jersey...one long 18 hour car ride and we are here! tomorrow we get up at 3am and leave for california. we have a 6:15am flight to LAX from Philly so that means we have to get to the airport that is about 2 hours away in time to check our luggage and get to the gate. we are flying northwest and we already checked in so we get to skip that line. so to all of our family in new jersey we will miss you but see you again soon. and to all of our friends and family in california see ya real soon.

Just a quick update in between working and having fun!! Happy Valentimes Day to all of my friends and family. I am having so much fun in florida and i love mickey mouse...you wouldn't believe how big disney world is!! i am amazed at how crazy big and fun it is here. well hope you have a great day and a wonderful night filled with love....actually i hope everyday is filled with love. (sorry about the cheesy entry mickey must be rubbing off on me)

just a quick update. we leave at 4am saturday which is in 5 hours and we should be in Florida about 18 hours after that..which means 10pm we will arrive approximately. I will have my computer and still be working..keep checking back for updates. Melissa

So yesterday I got to share with my caravan class about missions and about my trip to the philippines. they are the searcher class which means they are 1st and 2nd grade. this was cool because i allowed them to ask questions and some of thier questions were actually really good. Where do the people shop for food? They have stores like we have but they are a lot smaller and they have open outside markets where most people shop. They also have some thing like a convenience store that is usally built right into their homes or below their homes. They even had these stores in Arenda "the dump". these stores sometimes even have diesel fuel in empty liter bottles so that people can fill up right there. (i got to see this a few times it was wierd) Do they have bicycles? Yes they do and usually they turn them into trikes..with a little cart for their brothers and sisters and bottles of water or food or piggies...these are a few of the things i saw in the carts. ok so i know everyone can't wait to hear more stories about our trip to manila...but i just wanted to take a quick break to say i love ice cream and i love my mother in law...she not only bought ice cream but she bought my favorite flavor and she bought it just for me...i dont even have to share. so to my readers...what is your favorite ice cream flavor?? and if you dont like ice cream what is your favorite dessert. My favorite ice cream is Chocolate Peanut Butter. Yum!! I am off to enjoy a nice big bowl of it!!
