so what have i done since arriving in CA? -driven on the 405 a few times -cerritos mall -del amo mall -2nd street -crossed the vincent thomas bridge a few times -watched too much tv -sat around barnes and noble -claim jumper for lunch - i love sliders -driven a lot -had david pump gas (man its nice in NJ to have someone else pump your gas) -got a carne asada taco from hole mole what else do i have planned?? hmmm lets see read a few books, go to work and learn something new, go to the beach, go to church, in n out, del taco, red robin, jacuzzi, scrapbook stores, downtown disney, see a movie...JEFF'S WEDDING. and im sure there is more...but for now I am going to watch some more TV or maybe read.

oh my this day has snuck up on me. i am so excited today is christmas eve i just looked up santa on the santa tracker and he is in nigeria! this time tomorrow christmas morning will be long gone and david and i will be on our way to philly to get on a plane bound for CA. HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

so i have had a great week. i had a bunch of great customers at Art & Soul last week. I have one more kiln load to unload it fired last night. I finished wrapping all of my gifts for my family in CA and I mailed them out priority today. I delivered a bunch of pottery today! I have some more gifts to wrap but not too much! And I even delivered 250 ornaments to the Lower Township School day Care. Life is good! What do I have left to do? Well lots of cleaning so when we get back from California our house will be nice and clean. I have to get ready for the Children's Christmas Party tomorrow at church and I have to relax and read some of my book. I am looking forward to Christmas and to this Sunday at church. We are doing the last Superhero of Faith - Jesus! It has been a lot of fun to do the dramas each week.

yesterday was my first trip to storybook land ! it was a lot of fun! We rode a few rides and i felt sick after the spinning turtles. and then at 5pm Santa came out of his house rooftop and turned on the lights in the whole place. The only part that is disturbing to me are all of the nursery rhymes are pretty scary! i dont think kids realize this yet, but in the Alice in Wonderland walk through Alice looked like a zombie! We went on a ferris wheel type ride with buckets shaped like hot air balloons and all of us girls sang rudolph and the operator let us go around an extra time and thanked us for the lovely song. That was the best part!!

ok here is another update to check out something cool David is doing. "KIEVLOVE PROJECT" It isnt that I am not doing anything cool. Lets see yesterday I worked and went shopping with Grandmom, Mary & Aunt Dee. I love target! Today i worked and then went to help Grandmom decorate. Tonight I am a stage hand in the musical Godspell at Cumberland Playhouse. (david is playing drums) And before the play I get to go out to dinner with Big Dave! David has to go early to practice. Plans for the weekend? Well I am working tommorrow 11-5 and then going to see Godspell...Sunday I might go to AC Moore they are having a MIDNIGHT MADNESS SALE!! But i probably shouldn't go because I should be buying Christmas presents!! But maybe i will find something there!

ok so i have a few things to do before we leave.... pick up pottery and deliver it to the memorial school. wrap some pottery to be shipped. go to the bank. and i am going to drop a key off to my friend Michele for art & soul so she can take her guests....hope they have fun. i am waiting for david to get out of the shower...oh and i have to pack. Maybe i will do that now. now to ponder what i am thankful for....i will get back to you on that one.

ok friends i have some scary news...ok maybe its just scary for me. but christmas is in 5 weeks! i am so not ready.i dont know what i want or what i am going to buy anyone...yikes! i probably have more important things i should be worrying about...like unloading the kiln or sweeping, but what fun is that??!! i cant wait for turkey day, we are going to see big daves brother and his family...little vacation.

we have not inherited the earth from our fathers, we are borrowing it from our children. this was on my calendar a few days ago and it really stuck.

so i have been waiting what seems like forever to get my hair done, because i was not allowed to get it colored or cut during my play. so today was the day...i got my hair is a very nice warm brown and a cute new cut! with side bangs and a few layers. i love getting my hair done! getting it washed and cut and straightened! i love being pampered at the salon. thanks to megan!! she is amazing.

So if you are interested... read more about the bull . i think the best part is he was probably on his way to a slaughter house and since he escaped he will now live the rest of his life in a zoo/refuge. Thats one lucky bull.

so friends i hope you are all well! lets see, Monday i drove Cassy back to JFK and my friend Michele drove with me...we drove there and at olive garden then dropped cassy off and drove back, that was a total of 8 hours! Then we took Big Dave out for his brithday to Corky's in the tropicana in atlantic city! It was a great night!! Tuesday was my brother's birthday and they all went to Medieval times..i was sad to miss it, but being in Jersey is hard to be at family parties. So sorry little brother! I was thinking about you. So for halloween we went trick or treating with Amanda and Jenna and thier parents Michele and Scott! It was a fun night! The rest of the week went by fast...not much else going on. I have ladies night at Art & Soul and i have 10 friends coming to paint tonight. I made cookies and got some chips and dip! Oh and I got little packets of strawberry lemonade mix to add to my water bottles from Target and that has helped me drink more water. They are pretty ta

so here i sit in art & soul while my friend Cassy who is visiting from CA (hint hint we like visitors) is sleeping at my house. i have some friends coming down to Art & Soul hoping to meet Cassy so i am going to call and wake her once they get here! but the point of this post is i am sitting here all alone i should be working on ornaments but instead i am looking at blogs. here goes nothing!

today is a day to remember our friend, not only today but everyday we should be living as Christ would, and Joel did just that! joel is missed.

Ok so today I personally delivered a piece of pottery so i could close my store and go to ikea! It was awesome! my friend michele and i drove up in her van and i got 2 book shelves, a clock (for $1.99), some wash cloths, a pasta pot & strainer and lid for big dave...AA Batteries and maybe some other stuff. i love ikea! It is just outside Philly so about an hour and 30 minutes. then we stopped at AC Moore which is like Michaels and they were having a great sale 50% off one item and lots of stickers for $1. that was pretty exciting too! so now i have two shelves to put together...hmmm! i hope david isnt too busy tomorrow.

hi friends. we are on a little vacation to millville. we are going to go to wheaton village today and then to high street art district! we decided to stay here because the play i am in is up here about an hour from our house. last night was the best night of my play so far! my friend michele brought me flowers !! and uncle john and aunt dee took us out to dinner at the texas roadhouse...they had peanuts and you could throw the shells on the floor in the waiting area. shannon got a drink that came in a boot shaped glass and she got to keep the glass! that was pretty cool.

so i had an awesome weekend. the play went very well and i had a lot of fun! and my sister flew in from california! i am so glad she is here! i closed art & soul for the week and we are just hanging out! we are going to the zoo today! i cant wait to see the tamarin's. they are my favorite!

so i had my "soft" opening night with my play last night. it was a lot of fun! and the show is awesome!! I love it! David is doing stage crew and his job is pretty hard, he has to open and close a trap door, i know it sounds easy but its really complicated!! So tonight Big Dave, Melissa Joy and Jason are all coming to the play! I am so excited!! We are going to taco bell first for dinner. The best part is we are all driving up together so we get to hang out on the ride up and back! I cant wait!

the air is crisp and i love it! so the past week consisted of play practice, shopping at ikea (they didnt have what i wanted in stock so i am going to have to go back), shopping at the king of prussia mall with ginny and kathryn (awesome),eating at CPK (California Pizza Kitchen) at King Of Prussia Mall. Oh it was soo good. The shopping trip made me a little homesick maybe because of eating at CPK!! A place right down the street from my parents house. But I had so much fun! And I got a bunch of cute new shirts and a skirt! For some reason i didnt buy any pants i think its cause i was too lazy to try them on. I would have had to taken off my sneaks. other then that i have play pratice tonight, tomorrow none on wed and we have an audience on thursday (senior citizens preview)

i have rehearsal tonight and we dont get to use our scripts anymore. anyone interested in seeing my play it is the last 3 weeks of october. let me know. also if you are interested in sending me a Message of 30 characters for $5 i have to know by tomorrow...sorry for the short notice.

it has arrived! i love fall. i think that my most favorite thing is the squirrels! i love how they play and how cute they are. i also like feeling cozy in my sweatshirts. i have play rehearsal this week and we arent allowed to use our scripts anymore. i still havent had a chance to memorize the second act. we dont have rehearsal tonight so that gives me a little more time.

so i went to ny with joy this weekend and we had a great time! we shopped in china town, took a lot of cabs, ate good food, saw a movie, walked around a bit, and went to church at the journey . i really liked the church but the best part was seeing how they do everything and thinking about how we can use it at our church in cape may. i took one of every paper handout i could get my hands on. then we went to the kids dept down stairs cause i wanted to check it out and they are doing the same program we are doing for our kids a video series called kidmo. that was pretty exciting.

ok friends...the scarecrow is sitting on a bale of hay (which is on top of what i keep the glaze on normally ...it has wheels so we can bring it in at night) and he is so cute! i promise once david uploads the pictures i will post them. other then that we have still had customers everyday that we are open and we are getting more cuaght up each day. on a side note last week i had 2 heart mugs both painted by sarah's and i accidentally shipped them both to the wrong house. lucky for me both families were very nice and they are going to ship them to each other and i am going to send them each $$ for the difference. do you think i should send them some giftcards to art & soul??

so friends we built a scarecrow for a little contest on the island here...in cape may. It is for the CCA and the winners are announced on sat at 4pm. i will get some pictures posted and i will let you know if we won! Oh did I forget to mention it is built entirely out of pottery?? It is soooo cool...David & Kathryn & Ginny painted the parts and then David, Big Dave and I put it together today! It is sooo awesome!

Thank You to Ginny, Jeff, Kathryn, Shannon, Billy,Melissa Joy, Jason, David, Jim, Liz & Andrew !! We never could have gotten all those boxes packed with out all of your help!! I am still in shock that we packed 43 boxes!! Thank you!!

so today is slow because a lot of tourists are on their way home. And i took my book home last night and forgot to bring it back. So i should do something more productive with my time anyway..right? like check blogs or read emails?? ok so i think i am going to organize my drawers behind the counter that are full of junk...but first i have to unload and load the kiln...FUN!!

art & soul has been great all summer! Now this is the last weekend and we are going out with a bang!! We had our busiest day ever yesterday!! 100 painters whoopeeee!! Now i should be back into blogging more often sorry for the lack of updates!! Thanks for always checking back.

Ok so just so everyone knows there is NO WAY i would ever forget about Oliver, Noah & Myles..they are just about the cutest boys ever!! and i am so excited to get to see them too. I cant wait to see how BIG they are all!!

been busy with art & soul...its going to taper off after this week. We actually have no more room for pottery on any shelf. We are using a table in the store right now. Once we get the kiln unloaded tomorrow i have no idea where we are going to put stuff. its ok we will figure it out....this is a great problem!! so next week i will be shipping a lot of boxes and then after that i will be sitting all alone at art & soul. we already changed our hours to 9-6 cause Tim & Jamie are coming up for visit!! I am so excited!!

so on a whim my friend joy and i went to an audition about 45 minutes away....for "The Diviners" it was a lot of fun!! A little crazy and really scary. ( i was the first one up on stage to read) But it was such a great night and boy do we have some good storys about our time. And at 11pm we could call a hotline to get the cast list and for some crazy reason I am now cast in a play 45 minutes away that i dont know anything about but I am soooo excited. so i am keeping a list of every book i read this year and i just started my 40th book! pretty cool!

so last night we got home from hanging out with joy and tommy and jimmy and david decided to turn on the air conditioner in the living room while he played guitar and i read. it was probably around 10:30pm and after about 10 minutes the air conditioner made a droaning and slowing sounds and then BAM the lights went out and the air went off. the breaker had tripped and when david went to fix the breaker by clicking it back over to on...it was completely blown....so my reading came to an end and we decided to try to go to sleep with out air or a fan because all the plugs in the house are on one breaker except the fridge. falling alseep in the 98% humidity of our house wasnt working so we ended up unplugging the fridge and running an extension cord for the fan...talk about ghetto. so david and his dad are fixing the breaker today. FUN!

i am so pround of my husband! the two paintings that are are both blue and have no one in the picture are the ones he sold. and he donated all of the money to Brendan's Fund. It was a great night and I cant wait for next year.

so have you ever wanted to scratch your leg off? that is the feeling i have because of a few very large mosquito bites that are making my leg itch like crazy! so today consisted of unpacking 69 boxes of pottery. and itching my leg....like crazy!

so friends i have been busy which is good. then at the end of my busy week david let me have the day off! i went to the beach with my friend Joy and i got a little sun burn..but it was worth it. today brad, nick & marcelo helped us bag and pack up pottery so we got it all done in a hour when if it was only david and i it would have taken all day. thanks you guys!

i just decided to read the bible in a year...starting today august 7th. i am reading it on Bible Blog and it even has commentary links. please pray for me to continue this and not give up.

so i was just contacted to teach a pottery project in the fall for a womens retreat. i have to figure out the cost per piece and the shipping cost because all of the pieces will have to be shipped since i wont be able to get 50 plates into one kiln load. i am excited for a prospect of money making in the off season. now i need to finish the proposal.

so friends when i have a $1,000 day the reward for all of my hard work is ice cream. sadly today i fell $50 short of getting ice cream. but its okay because tomorrow ginny is opening for me and i get to sleep in..do my compex work in peace with out having to worry about ignoring a customer and then i am going to swim for an hour or so...tomorrow will be a wonderful day for me. a bit of a break in the routine of 9am-9pm inside the blue walls of art & soul. i am thankful for ginny and i am thankful for all of the customers who helped me almost get ice cream today :)

so david is leading music for the teen group this week at Erma Camp , and his uncle Joe is here from colorado bringing "the word" every night. so last night we stopped by for a visit after working and i heard about some of the women who are over 60..they have a nice place to keep thier cell phones and keys and money in their BRAS!! and have no shame in digging or lifting thier shirts to find what ever they might need. so friends when does it become ok to store things in our bras?

so my friend cassy emailed me this link to radiant magazine article about two girls who are writing "good girl" chick lit and i love chick lit. so i went online to amazon and bought both books used for a whopping grand total of $6 (side note : how does anyone make money selling books? i mean i got one for $.01 plus $3 shipping) anyway...i started one yesterday and it is good so far..the authors have a long way to go to keep up with Sophia Kinsella and Jane Green but it is cute so far. I couldnt find the link she sent me but the first book is called Emily Ever After and the authors are Anne Dayton & May Vanderbilt

sorry friends i have been busy working...which is what i do in the summer. i am not tan and everyone else is...now i should prob look at this as a good thing since i have been in the sun since i was a little kid so staying out of it might help me not get skin cancer...but man does it suck to be so pail when everyone else is so tan. other then working i got to get ice cream last night it was soo good. i had peanut butter and chocolate ice cream with peanut butter cups. soooo good! some things i have noticed in cape may...skin color swim suits are the in thing so when you see a girl on the promenade and you have to do a double take to see if she is topless..she prob has on a skin tone swim suit (atleast i hope) beach umbrellas on a windy day make for great entertainment for those watching from a far. and the guy who rakes the sand in the big tractor probably has the best job in the whole town.

i am thankful for good things in my life and last night i got to talk to my dad and he always makes me smile. one great thing is he called me and his ringtone is a recording of him singing so that makes me smile before i even answer the phone. the bad thing is he called me at 1:30am and i was laying there awake trying to fall asleep. the best thing is that as soon as i said good night to my dad i fell into a deep sleep and didnt wake until this morning. i love my dad.

so i have a coca-cola addiction i am sure all of my friends know this already since my kitchen is decorated in Coca-Cola and i have been collecting it since i was little. well i also have found that i really like dr. pepper...it is pretty good. so i have been drinking a lot of caffeine and i think i am enjoying the sugar high too. tonight i actually put my crock pot to use and made flank steak, potatoes and french onion soup mix...it was pretty good and a lot better then a slice of pizza. i think i have had one too many slices of pizza even though it is really good. tomorrow i get to sleep in cause i have an employee who is opening 9-12 yippeeeeee!! i am pretty excited about that!

i am still alive...i have been really busy with my store. art & soul is doing great and we are having fun too. today we have had a lot of great customers and it has been a great summer sunshine day. david is working on a painting to try to get into the Brendan Borek Art Show and tomorrow i am heading up toward philly to pick up some pottery since our shelves are pretty bare. the fun task of paying bills is ahead of me tonight...yippee!

so tonight we had the fireworks party at art & soul and it was awesome!! i will post some pictures tomorrow...but about 1/2 way through it started to pour and there was thunder and lightnin' so everyone who came down that wasnt painting came inside and we had over 40 people in our little store. it was so cool!! i had a great time and i think everyone else did too. we even had a newly wed couple paint who are in cape may on a mini-moon!! congratulations to them!! happy 4th of july!

today is a beach day if we have ever had one so art & soul is slow...i know this week is going to be busy though so i am enjoying the break! david is at a bbq with his family and when i get done we are going to go for dessert back to the bbq! other then that i am having a pottery party on 4th of july for the fireworks and on the 3rd the fireworks are in north cape may on the 3rd if we close right at 9pm we might even make it to those. i love fireworks!

so when i am on my feet a lot they hurt..duh! what can i do to alleviate this?? i think i need some new flip flops or maybe even some cool nurse shoes. but even as i type this i know i will not go out and buy these...so why bother to complain?? well i guess it feels good to get it out in the open! we are doing good sorry for the lack of updates keep checkin art & soul

so i love to sleep but lately i havent been getting enough sleep...and i say things like "you can use the stamp to put paint on the sponge" instead of "you can use the sponge to put paint on the stamp" and "be sure to wash your paint in the water and dab it on the paper towel" instead of "be sure to dab your paint brush on the paper towel when you wash it in the water" but i am excited to sleep in on friday!! ginny is going to work for me for a few hours 9-12!! :) and i am going to get some paper work notarized to try to get our friend cristina to come here from romania!!

well i bought him a magic dvd a few weeks ago that he really wanted...but what i really want to get him is a new mac...his is sort of a dinosaur i guess...why is it that computers age super fast?? so i tried to be all smooth and ask him what kind of computer our friend Jon got recently...but that set david off and he had some idea of what i was planning...so i broke down and asked him what one he would want and once we come into a little money (my real job hasnt paid me in a few weeks) we are going to order up a new APPLE . i guess the saying of better late then never applies to my husbands birthday this year!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVE!!!

so today i was busy but here is the great news...David's mom, Mary opened a bakery "Mary's Sweet Treats" and she had an amazing day! She sold out of everything...i think she had 2 hours of sleep so i hope she went home and had a nap today! Congrat's to the BAKER!! and her cute little crew!

we had a crazy storm last night or this morning..i am not sure. the thunder was so loud and there was a lot of lightnin'...it was cool but i wish i had been able to sleep through it...cause 8 am came awfully fast and i am still dragging.

so i am now open 9-9! i should have plenty of time to update my blog but when i dont have customers the thought of doing anything other then reading (after i clean up the mess) is far away....i have been steady but today was slower then monday and tuesday. i have two ladies who are going to work for me so i can go to the beach and i am very excited about that. one already works on sunday and the other is going to come by and fill in a few hours twice a week. my plan to continue eating healthy hasnt gotten back yet it is hard to go to the grocery store when i am at art & soul 9-9...i am not a morning person so i get up right before i have to get to art & soul. but i am going to order an electric skillet and one of my customers is bringing me a microwave and a george foreman grill...so soon i will be able to cook pretty much anything here...the only other thing i might get is a crockpot but i havent ever cooked in one...i love mary's and my mom's stuff they cook in the cr

so what happens when the internet stops working?? i start to go crazy!! i was on hold with verizon for 30 minutes and then they got it working then 5 minutes later it was down again! hopefully tomorrow i will get it up. ( i am at big daves for fathers day) Happy fathers day to all my dad's!!

i am very thankful for the rainy day we had today! it was the perfect amount...just enough to keep everyone off the beach and in my store!! then it cleared up and we went out to dinner and played putt putt with joy and tommy! a good day all around!

so you may or may not know this but i really enjoy to read...my husband thinks i am wasting my time and should write a book instead of reading so many. i consider reading a hobby i have and it is just enjoyable to dive into a good book. he on the other hand dances like a monkey for enjoyment. so all of this to say i have read 26 books since Jan 06 and i am looking for any recommendations. i like to read chick lit - as amanda puts it. but i am willing to branch out if i can find it at the local library. oh and i like james patterson too. so friends if you read or dont read but have heard of a good author clue me in. thanks!!

so i am davids partner in lightnin' photography! we went to higbees and it is a long dangerous walk through brush and woods....and i have lots of mosquito bites!! but he got some cool pictures - i think!

it was supposed to be a surprise but since i am a nosy wife and i cant just let david work on anything with out knowing what it is...he traded lettering someones trailer for a scooter. i will be the proud owner of a Rocketta Scooter (red or blue) in a few weeks. I am so excited!! thanks love!

so yesterday a second bird dies by flying into the door of Art & Soul and trying to exit through the window. i wish they would stay out of my store. it happened for the first time last week....we have always had inquisitive brown birds but usally they hop in and hop out....some of the dumber ones have not made it out on thier own. it freaks me out and makes me sad when they hit the windows. yesterday a police officer happened to be walking by and he helped me get the bird out of my store.

HOLY GUACAMOLE - today is our 6th wedding anniversary...where did all that time go? I am so thankful for my husband and our relationship. we celebrated last night by going to a flogging molly concert that was definately a new experience for me. david and i went to many flogging molly "shows" (back when they played in small venues) before we were even dating and while we were dating. i really enjoy their music and especially the penny whistle/fiddle player she is amazing. so back in the day we actually got to be right next to the stage and listen to the music and enjoy the crazy antics of this irish punk rock band (i think). well last night opened my eyes to how crazy flogging molly fans are...i was warned before we went, but i never expected what the show was like. As soon as the band came on we were rushed by dozens of people trying to push thier way to what would become one of 2 mosh pits. Then during the show we were pushed and stepped on and we witnessed some crazy stuff.

so tonight is caravan i took this picture last week we made hats out of news paper. other then caravan lets see...we are eating healthier and i am a POINTS nazi if you ask david...i have worked out our points for each day for all of our meals and we have both stopped snacking. any good easy low point meals that you might know of i am welcome to recipes. we dont eat very many different things, mostly chicken and turkey. we have had burritos (my staple), meatloaf (ate over at davids moms) and tonight we are eating chicken and veggies.(which i just realized i forgot to marinate...oh well. so thanks in advance for any recipes. i will try to keep you updated on how we do. oh and i have been drinking water...which is something i used to LOATHE!! its not so bad after all.

we had a great weekend...kicking it off with ladies night then the birthday party on saturday and we went out to dinner after we closed my store. then sunday we had church and bible study and went to see the divinci code....then brad, kate & karisa came over to hang out until late! it was nice to get to see them. now i am off from art & soul today and i am going to go to the library and maybe even go get my bike and go for a ride. i got some cool lights for my air valves from david that blink red so i want to try them out.

So tonight is Ladies Night at Art & Soul...if you are in Cape May hope you can make it. I have 12 reservations and I made brownies, Lemon poppy seed muffins, choc chip cookies and Mary's Sweet Treats is providing a Carrot cake...yum! We are going to have drawings for some prizes including a orange vanilla jar candle that i really want for myself...i guess i will have to buy one. We are painting plates and i am teaching some cool techniques. I will post some pictures later. Oh and tomorrow I have a birthday party that the mom asked to bring a pinata!! i told her i didnt think it was a good idea. ps david will finally be home tonight :)

is 14 too young to be left home alone for the weekend? this was the question this morning on a radio station i was listening to. so what do you think??

i put a vote on deal or no deal to try to win 20,000 by selecting the case # and i picked the right case but i didnt win. maybe next time....i am still excited that i picked the right case. instead of texting my vote i went to the website and voted there...guess i should have voted more then once.

I'm SICK! So thanks to my loving husband who had a cold before he left...I now have the same cold. It started with a sore throat then aches and chills. I am looking forward to the aches and chills being gone...oh and i am thankful for my stash of puffs ultra, because (yes this is me whining) my nose wont stop running. i woke up at 3am then 4am then 5am until 8 when i really had to get up because my faucet of a nose decided to run all night and i thought it was bleeding...not fun! i even took nasty nasty nyquil and it helped a little but only from midnight to 3am. that seems like too short of a time. i dont like to take medication mostly cause im no good at swallowing pills, but nyquil we have is in liquid form...so tonight i will take it again and hope for the best.

so david and big dave ( his dad) are going on a road trip/motorcycle week. they are trailering their bikes down south the myrtle beach for BIKE WEEK but first they are stopping in New Bern to see Davids uncle eddie. Uncle Eddie has an art gallery showing right now and he is going to give david some tips on painting. So where does that leave me?? Well I am in charge of Jesse - big dave's dog who loves me so much! And I am having girl fest 06 - two friends are staying over and we have big plans to hit the gym...take some aerobics classes...watch loads of chick flicks...oh and do homework, since they are both in school. I am excited to get to hang out with them, especially Karisa, because she is moving away in the summer and I am gonna miss her so much. Even though I am going to miss my husband I am thankful for good friends to keep me from going insane. I hope the boys have fun!!

believe it or not it wasnt as scary as i thought it would be. i did see some BIG spider webs but no spiders and it wasnt until later when i told cousin jimmy about my expedition that he told me he always thinks he is going to see a snake....hmmm i am glad i didnt see or even think about seeing a snake. so i went under the house to turn on the outside water for big dave. i actually had fun..it was my first under house adventure.

guess i need to slow down...since i didnt notice my spelling mistake on the last post or even that laura and jill had typed spell and not smell. phew! the church between david's dads house and our house has a really interesting saying on their sign. i think they have 5 sayings that they just rotate - If life has you wrinkled, come inside for a faith lift. so what are we doing today?? i am working right now or supposed to be, and cassy is sleeping. then we are going to climb the light house!! 299 steps.

the forecast for the weekend is rain and today it is gloomy. i have had a steady stream of customers today though, so that is good. i didnt even eat lunch yet and its already 3:30pm. i think i might go next door to louie's pizza and get a slice or maybe some cheese fries....yum! i am so healthy. and to top it off maybe i will get a coke....yummmy!!

so the signs of spring flowers, warm sunny days and road kill. yep thats what i said - ROADKILL. it is so nasty and it makes me so sad...but all the animals must forget how dangerous the cars are while they are hibernating or migrating. but i am thankful for the spring flowers (even though i have been sneezing and having a few bloody noses) and the warm days. its nice to only grab a sweatshirt just in case. (of course i am wearing my sweatshirt today but its a bit breezy) hopefully next week i will get into my garden and pull all the weeds and plant some wild flowers.

so i finally downloaded the pictures from my last trip back to ca and this picture is pretty cool!! ok atleast i thought it was pretty cool! i took it through one of those telescopes that you put a quarter in at hollywood and highland.

so the past week has been so nice and sunny and warm...well that all changed today! it is so cold and windy and stormy. well i just found out in the bay between cape may and delaware there were water spouts and 90 mph gail force winds- my father in law works on the ferry and he actually had to pilot a ferry through all of that! and david is driving up to pick up his cousin tommy in greenport and as he was driving through NY he was stuck in a blizzard and he sat on the verazano narrows bridge as it rocked from the winds!! he sent me a picture message of the snow on the front of the suburban he is driving! so where did spring go?? i hope it doesnt stay gone for too long. i am sooo cold!

i am painting inside Art & Soul right now a darker blue and it is a pretty funny sight! i have no idea how to paint walls so i am doing my best...but i thought you might enjoy a laugh. it is probably like watching a bloopers show. i hit my butt against the freshly painted wall so my pants have a big blue streak on them, i got blue paint on the red part and then climbed onto a chair to wipe it off and almost fell...the chair was a bit wobbly. then i decided to answer the phone at the same time as painting and my phone just turned off so i was talking to myself for about 5 minutes. well i have 1 small wall and about 1/2 of one long wall finished. i am going to finish the long wall but i needed a break, my wrist hurts...man i am a big baby.

yesterday i finished celebrating my week long birthday extravaganza. see it started the tuesday before my birthday with fondue and friends and ended with a trip to NY!!! so while i was in CA i got a call from molly at David Letterman that they had tickets for 3/28...david called molly back and had to answer a trivia question - who is rupert g? of course he knew and we got tickets!! so we spent the day in NY walking around and i got to have cold stone twice, first i had my favorite peanut butter cup perfection and then much later in the day i had oreominster....both were so good. so then we went to see the david letterman show being taped and the guests were ray romano and willie nelson. then we went to ellens star diner "home of singing wait staff" it was a lot of fun!! and the food was good too. oh yea and thanks mom for taking brit and i to ca adventure and storytellers for my birthday..i had such a great birthday week!!

so i have been working on getting all my pictures from my computer to snapfish.com so i can get them off my computer. i got my camera last year for my birthday and i have so many pictures it is slowing down my computer. not to mention my music slows it down too. it has taken sooo long!!

holy guacamole...i am 26 now!! happy birthday to me....brit and i are flyinh back to NJ today and yesterday we went to ca adventure and i got a button with mickey that says happy birthday, so naturally i am wearing it today on the plane :)

so fondue tonight with friends and family was very d-lish! i really felt sick after we had sooo much chocolate and yummy stuff dipped into the chocolate. thanks friends for coming out and spending a lot of money for dessert...i had a great time!! happy early early birthday to me.

so todaymy husband and father in law worked hard down at art & soul while i went shopping with brittany. (we are going to ca for a week - me & brittany - so we got a few lasst minute things taken care of) so what didi the boys do?? well it is pretty amazing what they can get accomplished in one day. they built a drawer for all 60 bottles of paint and installed it. they moved the bar seating down from a high bar to a table level bar. they moved 2 shelves and set up plates in the window. i was amazed!!! i am so excited for this coming summer season. i ask my friends and family to pray for david and i as we make decisions for both of our businesses and as the summer gets closer that we would be in God's will. thanks!! so i gotta go pack for ca i already got my boarding pass and i am in boarding group A for south west....so fun!

so i have a dell computer and it is ok...but i have loaded too much stuff onto it and it has begun to run slow!! so today after i finish my work projects i am going to upload pictures to snapfish and then burn them to a dvd...atleast i think i can burn dvds...i hope so or else i am going to be all day burning cds. oh and i am on hold with dell right now because big dave's printer is not working and i cant fix the error it is giving me. all it says is right printer cartridge incorrect...hmmm since he has to order the cartridge direct from dell why in the world would it be incorrect?? ok back to work.

so we made it back to cape may last night around 2 am. today is davids mom's birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! WE LOVE YOU!!

  

yesterday we went out on the little speed boats again and this time i got to drive my own. it went super fast and i even caught some air...i think. i had a lot fo fun "boating"! then last night we went to the Cape May Cafe which is an all you can eat seafood buffet. I am not big on buffet because i dont feel like i eat enough, but the buffet last night had so much good stuff other then seafood i think i am still full. the best part was dessert chocolate mousse bon bons on top of oreos with a light dusting of chocolate powder. yum!

what happens when a family rents a pontoon boat and goes out on the lake for a 2 hour tour? well the ouch is the sunburn that we all have except uncle john who stayed safe under the canopy. i have the worst shorts tan(currently a little crispy but soon to be brown)!! a good time was had by all and david, cousin jim and brian all rented little fast boats and got super sweet life vest burns. i think tomorrow we are going to animal kingdom.

yep!! i am sitting right now in fort wilderness camp ground which is part of disney world. we drove down with uncle john, aunt dee, jimmy, shannon, uncle tom and aunt sherri. and now we get to see mickey mouse and all of his friends.

so last night my parents and i crawled into their bed and watched this flick. i have to say at first i was mad and didnt want to watch it because it seemed so sad. but i loved it...it was sad and happy and most of all it was cute. it probably wasnt the best choice for a hopeless romantic who misses her husband but it is one of my new favorites. i liked the guy in it from 13 going on 30 and i love reese witherspoon. i can watch sweet home alabama over and over and legally blonde as well.

so one thing i think that is bad is sitting around working all day which i have been doing a lot of. there is a big project that i am working on with the help of my brother and my friend melissa. we have transformed my room in my parents house to a make shift slave labor office where we sit and stare at computers (working) for hours on end with no breaks. so yesterday my brother says he is going to go for a job on my moms treadmill and i suggest we go for a real jog outside together. so we choose a path and go for a 15 minute walk/jog. phew i am outta shape and my feet hurt because i borrowed my moms shoes and they are too small. so what do i say after the jog is complete?? "that was good, we should do that everyday until i go home." so this morning i awake and that feeling good has turned into a feeling sore and i want to give up on jogging. but my brother reminds me of how winded we both were and how nice it is to get outside, so i break down and head to sport mart and we g

   

i love my new green sweater. a target special at 12 bucks! there is just something about getting a good deal that makes me so happy!

i always hated that saying when i was a kid. it probably didnt help that my mom was so dang cheerful so bright and early and i have never been a morning person. so today i was up at 6:20am and to work by 7am. the case of the mondays i had yesterday is long gone and i am feeling very productive. my only wish is that i had gotten up on time and made some toast. instead i got a healthy breakfast of chili cheese fritos and a coke. (i really wanted cupcakes but they wouldnt come out of the vending machine)yum!

i have a case of the mondays but it is tuesday...so maybe it will be easy to get over.

so my parents have the ultimate tivo set up. it might be pvr i am not sure, but you can tape 3 shows and watch a 4th at the same time...how cool is that!?? so i have the tivo set to tape some of my new addicitions....project runway on bravo and beauty and the geek. i just watched beauty and the geek from thursday and i was sad to see thais and tyson go home i mean how can you send the world record rubix cube guy to the ellimination room?

lets see i did have a lot of fun at nickel nickel and my toes are really cute pink. other then that we havent been doing too much just hanging out with friends and family. last night we stayed home and spent time with my parents...i made dessert chcocolate angel food cake (not as good as regular angel food cake) strawberries and cool whip...it was pretty good. i finished a good book last night called the shadow of the wind and i have a bunch more to read that i got for christmas. im off to hang out with my mom after i finish my work today.

so i am working and what is going to get me through the day today? #1 - a pedicure this afternoon with my mom and sister #2 - going to nickel nickel tonight. i am really looking forward to both.

so while hanging out at my parents last night after work we were watching the 90's on vhi and the 93 show had the where's waldo books featured. and the best part about the books is the other pictures on the page. they showed one page where there was a guy throwing up on and two people dancing in their underwear and other really funny stuff. so if you feel like wasting some time check out the where's waldo game on ebaumsworld it is pretty random.

i am addicted! i love the tea latte's from coffee bean and tea leaf. i dont think any other company has the recipe down for a tea latte like coffee bean. yum! i am going to miss these tasty treats when i return to cape may...maybe i can get avalon coffee and tea to make them! here's hoping!

so while in california we have had the opportunity to visit lots of friends and family. i really miss everyone when we are in jersey but it is hard to see everyone so i was trying to figure something out so we can invite people to have fun and hang out. so any suggestions are welcomed, i have come up with a couple of ideas but i will wait to post them to see what everyone else comes up with. thanks!

why is it that a pair of usper cute shoes can make your day? i am not a girly girl in the sense that i have 50 pairs of shoes i mean i do have a few but nothing over the top. so my mom took me shopping for a dress and shoes for a wedding we are going to tomorrow. and i love the dress but i really really love the shoes. i think they are exactly what ihad in my mind for what i wanted. now i have to get some more cute outfits to match my new shoes. (is that a bad??)

poor david is sick...i hope he begins to feel better soon. i hate to see him not feeling good. hopefully it is just a little bug and it will pass soon. other then that we are just hanging out at my parents we went to dinner last night at Brian & Annasarahs - tacos and pizookie very good. Thanks for having us over! my sister made it home safe from italy but she says it is expensive there and she spent about $1,000 on food, cab rides and a few bottles of wine and olive oil for souvenirs. i hope to go to italy some day so i guess i better save my pennies! i miss lilly she was fun to play with and cuddle with, my parents cat anthony is old and he sees me coming and runs the other way because i am like elmyra from tiny toons. what can i say i want to love him and hug him and squeeze him and he doesnt like it.

i worked at the compex office in torrance yesterday and after work i was pooped!! thank goodness for tony he drove me to work in my zombie state and home from work in my lack of fresh air induced zombie state. I really think that being in a building with out fresh air for 7 hours is draining me of my energy. so today i am in the office again, but i have a plan to go out and get fresh air during the day rather then just at lunch time. and i am trying to leave early....hopefully at 2pm. so what did i do when we got home first i laid in bed and talked to david then we had dinner then we went to this really cool art gallery/coffee shop, then i vegged out on the couch watching tv...but it feels like i am watching movies because my parents screen is soo big. i watched Emily's Reasons Why Not, Jake in Progress (then i should have gone to bed) but i watched CSI Miami. The 1st two were 30 min shows and i think that is too short they weren't very good, but i love CSI Miami. i better get

so if you check out my husbands photo blog you might notice some of the new shots are from seal beach. well i was there with him while he was taking those shots and it was a beautiful morning, but still a little breezy. when he was on the beach taking the photos i laid out my coat and basked in the sun and sat watching the people surf or just laid back and enjoyed the noises of the crazy birds who must of thought my del taco cup signified that i had some french fries to feed them. (instead i threw pebbles and beach wood at them) then we went up to watch the surfers from the pier and david took a bunch of really awesome shots and at first i was playing with all of the lady bugs on the bench i was sitting on (why are lady bugs on the pier?) and then i put my hood up and laid back on the bench and just basked in the sun (again!) it felt so good to just relax.

so we are watching my sisters kitten named lillybella. and she is nuts!! here are a few of the crazy things she has done in just the one night we stayed here. 1. attacked a burning candle - my sister warned me about this one. 2. fell in the toilet - she was so fast to get out of the water 3. chewed up my book - yep just like a dog 4.attacked david - but he is so loveable (he was drawing and she had to have his pen) 5.chewed on my toes - she is crazy about toes i guess (so i put on socks) 6. currently she is trying really hard to chew on my computer so that is it for now. i know super exciting.
