sorry for the lack of updates...my family - well my mom & sister and my friend stephanie are here visiting...and its been rainy so we have been busy at the store! yippee!! so what have we done?? we have eaten a lot and we have shopped and yesterday we went to Atlantic City and gambled for a few hours on the nickle slots. we have walked around cape may a few times in search of the store that was on the daily show...no luck yet. tonight we are going to wildwood and today my family is hanging out at mary's watching tv and relaxing...it is a nice beach day so they might come down and go on the beach...we walked on the beach this week but it was a lightning watch so we got asked to leave we did take a few pictures though. more updates later and hopefully some pictures.

Happy Birthday David Bruce! I love you!! I am posting this today 1 day late because yesterday on David's real birthday I was sick and he worked the store for me and it was a rainy day and I slept and barfed and slept some more. So not only HAPPY BIRTHDAY but Thanks! I love you!!

i got my hair cut yesterday...i love it when it gets straightened by a professional. i tried to do it myself today...doesnt look quite as cute.

we went up to atlantic city last night and saw batman begins. i really liked it even though i was scared numerous times...the gigantic screen prob. didnt help. the imax is so cool..i cant wait for charlie and the chocolate factory we are going to see that there too.

ok so i know i am a dreamer but how cool would it be to win the oscar mayer wiener mobile for a day! what would you do?? I am working on my essay...time is running out..the last date for entry is july 28th. did i mention you get $5,000 to make the day the ride of your life?? 1. How would you use the Wienermobile for the day and $5,000 to create the ride of your life? 2.Where would the event occur and who would it include? (be sure to answer both questions) so i guess i better get writing!

so in cape may this weekend there is a craft fair on the boardwalk. it is very interesting because people come from near and far to sell their goods. so when i was going to buy some swedish fish for david and some chocolate covered peanuts(which they gave me a mix of raisins, cashews and peanuts - yuck) i saw a little old man at a booth with a sign that said "hand painted pencil sharpeners" so how many of those do you think he has to sell to pay for the booth spot?? these fairs are pretty expensive...i wont even fork out the $200-$300 bucks for them. some other things i saw were jewelry, pulls for cieling fans, silk flowers and ornaments. nothing was really my style. on top of all that the booths block my beach view. so i am not happy!

i took sunday off from art & soul and went to cousin tommy's birthday. i went swimming with emily and had so much fun, we had the pool to ourselves which was very nice! and it was so nice and hot out and i got a little tan. we had lots of yummy food and then i got a work out swimming back and forth with emily in her floaty. so after swimming i realized how much i miss it...i love swimming and i am excited to swim in the ocean once it gets a little warmer and then to surf!

i have been reading a lot of books based in england. and they use the word pram -(see also baby carriage) Function: noun: a small four-wheeled carriage often with a folding top for pushing a baby around in -- called also baby buggy. well when i was reading our local paper it referred to something as "pram friendly". this made me giggle, especially since i just learned what a pram is and that we are in america..next thing you know they will be asking where the hoover is stored and to take out the rubbish! on another note i am enjoying Arizona Sweet Tea ...it is so good. thanks to cousin jimmy for telling me how delicious it is and for sharing his for me to test it out.

i drove up to exit 36 today and meet another studio owner and shared some tips...then i went to micheals for some supplies...and then wet suit world. so now i am ready to hit the waves.

So we had a nice day in NY. we ended up taking a PATH train from NJ to NY instead of the water taxi it was only $6 total and the water taxi is $25 and it dropped us off right in the remains of the world trade center...the water taxi is a long walk from the landing to the subway. and the biggest bonus is it runs all night!! we got back to our car around 11pm...the sucky part is then we had to drive back home which is about 3 hours. By the time we got to exit 20 we were hurting...exit 0 seems so far away. we have been at the store today all day and it has been steady...that is nice because it makes the day go fast. oh in case you are in cape may i have 2 big events at art & soul this month - Fri. 6/17 Ladies Night - PJ PARTY and Sat. 6/25 Princess Party - Be sure to wear your tiara!

so i was supposed to go surfing with my friend kelly but there were no waves. boo hoo! and so now i am going to have to wait atleast another week before we can go because we both work on the weekends and maybe longer because she works almost everyday! other then that we are driving up to NY tomorrow and we are going to get to see amanduh! i am so excited...she is coming to the big apple for a book convention and she is going to get lots and lots of free stuff....i mean books. she told me that jet blue lets you check 3 bags at 70 pounds each and she brought 3 extra suitcases for all the free books she is going to get. i hope she gets good stuff because she always shares her books with me. ok so i am working on compex work because i will only work 1/2 a day tomorrow....i am so excited for NY!! i love the city and best of all the water taxi!
